Digital Discipleship

Equipping students to be creators of good, not just consumers of content.

In a world where the average teenager spends nearly seven hours a day on screens, the question isn't whether young people will engage with technology—it's how. Will they be shaped by their devices, or will they shape the digital world for God's glory?

Digital Discipleship is designed for students who are ready to step beyond passive scrolling and become intentional creators, builders, and ambassadors of truth in the digital space. Rooted in a Christ-centered worldview, this course empowers students to see technology not as a distraction or a vice, but as a powerful tool—one that, when stewarded wisely, can be used to bless others, advance the gospel, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

What Students Will Learn

Throughout this course, students will explore the principles of digital citizenship, ethical content creation, and faithful stewardship of their online presence. They'll move from being consumers of media to thoughtful creators—developing the skills and discernment to produce content that uplifts, educates, and points others toward what is true, good, and beautiful.

Students will engage with practical lessons on building a positive digital footprint, navigating social media with wisdom, creating purposeful content (writing, video, design, and more), recognizing and resisting the addictive patterns built into modern platforms, and using technology to serve their families, churches, and communities.

Why This Course Matters

We believe students were created with unique gifts and a divine purpose—and that purpose extends into every corner of their lives, including the digital one. Rather than approaching technology with fear or unchecked indulgence, Digital Discipleship invites students to engage thoughtfully and courageously, asking the deeper questions: What am I creating? Who am I serving? How is this drawing me—and others—closer to Christ?

By the end of this course, students will have the vision, tools, and confidence to use technology as creators rather than consumers, building something meaningful in a space that desperately needs voices of truth, creativity, and hope.
